ABOUT NIMEI

Nimei, born in 1991 in China, now resides in Barcelona. She is a talented artist whose works have been exhibited in Beijing and Barcelona, garnering widespread attention and acclaim. Nimei's works are filled with themes of female freedom and strength. Growing up in a patriarchal society, she witnessed the inequality faced by women around her, which sparked her deep contemplation on feminism. She created a character named "Echo", who possesses a curvaceous body, is slightly plump but never anxious, and has a strong heart beneath her soft exterior. In China, Nimei observed many people leading lives of intense competition and anxiety, which led her to reflect on the philosophy of the present moment. She believes that leisure is the true luxury of life, thus she created a series of works titled "Lying Flat." In these paintings, the characters are always enjoying their lives. Nimei hopes her works can bring people inner peace and happiness, encouraging them to pursue relaxation and self-satisfaction. Nimei's artworks not only demonstrate her profound understanding of feminism but also reflect her unique insights into modern life philosophy. Through vivid imagery and bright colors, her paintings captivate numerous viewers, establishing her distinctive position in the art world.
